The Department of Sociology was started in June 1972 Since June 1973, The subject of Sociology was given permanent affiliation in June 1972. Since June 1973, The subject of sociology was stated at special level at under graduation level.
The Department organizes various academic and other activities beneficial to both the students as well as teachers conducting seminars and workshops.
